Nourishing Hope, Now Serving Our Community
At City of Hope, food has always been more than sustenance—it’s an integral part of healing. Nourishing Hope, our pioneering food services program, was founded on the belief that fresh, clean, and thoughtfully prepared meals can support wellness and recovery. Rooted in City of Hope’s legacy, this program was designed to provide patients and their families with nutritious, healing foods prepared using organic, sustainable, and locally sourced ingredients.
Now, that same philosophy extends beyond patient care to the wider community through 1913 Restaurant & Bar, located within the Judy and Bernard Briskin Hope Village Hotel.
A Culinary Extension of Healing
Named for the year City of Hope was founded, 1913 embodies the mission of Nourishing Hope in a refined dining experience. Our menu is crafted with the same commitment to clean, responsibly sourced ingredients—featuring antibiotic-free poultry, hormone-free beef and pork, wild-caught seafood, and organic, seasonal produce. Every dish is made from scratch, free from artificial additives, heat-and-serve products, or heavily processed ingredients.
At 1913, food is more than a meal—it’s a philosophy. Each plate is designed to be both nourishing and indulgent, proving that wellness and great taste can go hand in hand.
An Intentional Approach to Food & Drink
